ESL Program: Elimination of Diagnostics
Beginning in Spring 2008, diagnostics for the purpose of waiver from ESL classes are no longer offered in ESL classes.
UAHuntsville policy indicates that students must begin their ESL classes immediately upon placement and matriculation at the institution. Students are strongly encouraged to enroll in at least one of the required ESL classes during their first semester at the university.
Students will be offered an optional retake of the ELPT during their first semester of study at UAH for a nominal fee of $25. However, based on the results of that retake, students will be held accountable for completion of all ESL classes in which they are placed.
